I wonder whether the the strategy outlined in this piece has been superceded by a later version of Victoria? I just attempted to start the war with Hannover in Year 2 and found myself at war with virtaully all the German Minors and with Austria. That sound of breaking glass was actually tons of broken defense pacts (all necessary for the next stage - swallowing the minors).

Or could I be missing a patch or something?

The latest patch is 1.03c, so you should use that. If that isn't it, I'd ask at the forums to see if anyone can offer som suggestions on this. Rafiki 10:13, 2 Jul 2005 (CEST)

This article should be stickied at the top victoria 1.03c only as its way out of date. In fact I'm going to mark it like that on the top.
