I am somewhat confused. Perhaps you could answer the following questions:
(1) You recommend saving the research points you get from the event "Abdul Meijid I's Reforms." You realize you cannot "save" research points unless you aren't conducting research at all. If you are conducting research, then any points you acquire automatically get assigned to defray the balance of your remaining research deficit. The Question: Is your guide recommending the Ottoman player conduct NO RESEARCH at the beginning of the game?
(2) You say in paragraph six of 1838-1853 "remember that country with which you built up relations?". Well, exactly which country were you referring to? No recommnedation is specified and I am wondering which would be the best for the trade of cyprus and crete?
(3) How are you supposed to finance your industrial development? If you tax heavily you will risk a lot of rebellions, if you tax normally how do you raise the money just from tarrifs?
(4) If you aren't doing any research how do you get that all-important "Freedom of Trade" tech? In many cases it isnt offered as a first choice of tech from the tech tree.
(5) Until that "Abdul Meijid I's Reforms" event the Ottoman Army is made up of irregulars...no better than the troops it will fight against in Nejd and Tunisia. Should you be spending money to improve them? The French also have their eyes on Tunesia, will that cause a problem?
