Talk:Make your own event pictures!

Nice tutorial, ZGG. One problem, tho'. With all the images, the size of it is somewhere between 3.5 and 4 MB. Any chance of reducing that in some way?

Interesting, when I opened the template it created a Photoshop window on my system that I couldn't do anything with since I don't have Photoshop. However, I found a brute force substitute:
1) Obtain image and crop it to 408x149 pixels
2) Convert to 256 greyscale
3) Invert the image (create a negative)
4) Save as a .bmp (you should have a 61 kb file as an output)
5) Load into the graphics folder and call it up in an event or tech
The image will take the sepia toned palette and give a "sepia-scale" instead of greyscale of the image. You lose the layering and stitching features of the higher-end programs.

- If you don't have Photoshop, you might want to check out Gimp, which is a pretty good substitute Rafiki 22:54, 11 Oct 2005 (CEST)
