Westernisation

Westernisation is the term used for the event where a country can "trade up" one step with regards to technology groups. The available options, and conditions, are as follows:
[edit] Eastern to latin
Absolute conditions:
- You must be at one of the three leftmost steps on the Innovative vs. narrowminded domestic policies slider (i.e. highly innovative)
- You must have a statesman advisor level 5 or 6
- You must have a ruler with administrative skill 7 or better
In addition to the above, the following speeds up the process:
- The further towards innovative, the better.
- The higher advisor level, the better.
- The higher ruler ADM level, the better.
- Being centralised helps (the three leftmost steps on the centralization vs. decentralization domestic policies slider).
- Having a latin tech country as your neighbour.
- Having a naval or army reformer advisors.
[edit] Muslim to eastern
Absolute conditions:
- You must be at one of the three leftmost steps on the Innovative vs. narrowminded domestic policies slider (i.e. highly innovative).
- You must have a ruler with administrative and military skill 6 or better.
In addition to the above, the following speeds up the process:
- The further towards innovative, the better.
- Having a statesman advisor, preferrably level 5 or 6.
- Having an army reformer advisor level 5 or 6.
- Having a eastern or latin tech country as your neighbour.
[edit] African or new world to latin
Absolute conditions:
- You must have a ruler with administrative skill 6 or better.
- Your state religion must belong to the Christian group.
- You must have a latin tech country as your neighbour.
In addition to the above, the following speeds up the process:
- As high as possible ruler's administrative and military skill.
- Having a statesman advisor.
- Having a eastern or latin tech country as your neighbour.
- Being innovative helps (the three leftmost steps on the innovative vs, narrowminded domestic policies slider).
