The following part contradicts itself:

The following costs are affected by inflation (those in italics need confirmation);

Army and navy recruitment; Building province improvements and manufactories; Stability and technology investments; Spies, merchants and colonists. Advisors (both appointment and monthly salary) Army and Navy maintenance; Diplomacy Costs in events, for example paying off a noble family to prevent a stability drop are not affected by inflation, nor are technology or stability costs.

I did a test to confirm that both advisor appointments and their monthly salaries, as well as the army and navy maintenance costs are indeed modified by inflation - unlike diplomacy costs. I also removed the contradiction. ~ Nordenadler 09:39, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Regarding the following section:

The national idea, national bank will offer a 0.1 % decrease in inflation every month, allowing one to take 10% of monthly incomes as coin without incurring any additional inflation. By taking less any inflation you have accrued will diminish. This also allows a one-off event which lowers inflation by 5%.

I believe the one-off event ("Creation of National Bank") will only fire if you do not have the National Bank idea. This causes some players to delay getting the National Bank idea until after it has fired. Merrick 23:26, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Edited the causes of inflation section to include the gold inflation bug in 1.1 (Basically gold inflation doesn't happen) Merrick 17:23, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Corrected the gold info. I can see not having all the details about gold inflation (which I added in March) on this page but they shouldn't just be thrown away since they are still accurate AFAIK; they should at least have been moved to a new page with a link from this one.--Jdrou 20:27, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry jdrou, my fault. --Musides 01:22, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
