[edit] Forming Spain
I have no idea how to form Spain which is one of very important steps here, anybody willing to contribute a chapter? (delra)
- I haven't even played Portugal/Castille/Aragon yet, so I'll post the info here and let someone put it somewhere it fits in to the guide. There are two events about forming Spain (/events/spanishnation.txt), one is straightforward, the other I'm not 100% sure about:
- ===Forming Spain===
- Must not be France
- Must not have declined the event before
- Spain must not exist
- Must either belong to the Iberian culture group, or have Basque as primary culture
- Must own Barcelona, Aragón, Castilla la Vieja, Salamanca, Andalusia and Toledo
- Must not be at war
- Mean time to happen: 216 months (18 years)
- Hastening Factors:
- Owning any/all of Galicia, Asturias, Vizcaya, Navarra, Pirineo, Barcelona, Badajos, Valencia, Murcia, Almeria, Granada, Andalusia, Cordoba and Gibraltar
- Every centralisation step from 2 to 4
- National idea: Bureaucracy
- Slowing factors:
- Every decentralisation step from 2 to 4
- The second version of the event makes Castille inherit Aragon and form Spain if they are both in personal unions between 1506 and 1517. It seems weird, but my impression is that they don't need to be in a union with eachother - any unions will do.
- ===Forming Spain (Castille only)===
- Gives Castille the option of inheriting Aragon and forming Spain, like it happened historically.
- Must be Castille
- Spain must not exist
- Must not have declined the event before
- Must either belong to the Iberian culture group, or have Basque as primary culture
- Must not be at war
- Must be between years 1506 and 1517
- Castille and Aragon need to be in at least one personal union each
- Mean time to happen: 36 months (3 years)
- Hastening Factors:
- Owning any/all of Galicia, Asturias, Vizcaya, Navarra, Pirineo, Barcelona, Badajos, Valencia, Murcia, Almeria, Granada, Andalusia, Cordoba and Gibraltar
- Every centralisation step from 2 to 4
- National idea: Bureaucracy
- Slowing factors:
- Every decentralisation step from 2 to 4

[edit] leaving granada's capital
muslims have charge cav, so your provinces where granada has a core can produce cav with +1 Off Fire over Latin knights, so 'double' their offence. useful in early game against natives. esp since latin cav doesn't upgrade until like land 12.
[edit] Conquering_the_Aztecs
There is a Conquering_the_Aztecs article....perhaps include it as a stub or just link to it? No need to reproduce work. Sneezinglion 04:06, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
