Europa Universalis III Europa Universalis III is a grand strategy game by Paradox Interactive, covering a period of time from the collapse of the Byzantine Empire in 1453 to the French Revolution in 1789. EU3 uses a new, 3D engine. Players can choose from 282 nations to play, but like other games in the series, EU3 is highly moddable and new content can easily be added. The current official version is 1.3
