Diplomats

Diplomats are the people you need to initiate diplomatic actions. Each country can have up to five diplomats "in stock", but can not keep any more in reserve. Diplomats are the middle of the five "heads" at the top of the screen.

The number of diplomats you get each year depends on several factors:

• Monarch's diplomatic skills, 0.3 diplomats/skill point.
• Religion.
• Domestic policy sliders, specifically the Aristocracy vs. Plutocracy slider.
• The Cabinet national idea, 1 diplomat.
• Prestige, 1 diplomat/100 prestige points.
• Being the Holy Roman Emperor, 1 diplomat.
• Being at war, 1 diplomat.

In addition to the above, diplomats may be gained through events, or the gain rate may be adjusted by certain triggered modifiers.

Diplomats are also used when recruiting leaders. One general or admiral costs a sum of money and one diplomat to appoint.

Diplomats employ time for arrive to destination.
